The Saturday Sail Program - Saturdays at 3pm
Signup here.
The Monmouth Boat Club Saturday Sail Program is intended to be a way for members to go out for a day sail with other members. It is open to all members regardless of sailing ability or boat ownership status. We want to connect skippers and crew so everyone can enjoy the Navesink. Qualified skippers can reserve a club boat. Sailboat owners, racers, daysailers, and cruisers can either use their own boat or if qualified reserve a club boat.
We will meet at club to decide boat assignments 15 min before the start time. You can also request a boat or skipper when you sign up.
Obviously, skippers should feel comfortable and skilled enough to sail with guests aboard. Skippers of the club boats must be cleared by the adult sailing supervisor.
All we ask of crew is that you are familiar with sailing either via experience or having recently taken an introduction to sailing course. Crew members will gain sailing experience and knowledge. The program is not however a substitute for sailing instruction.
We encourage families/households to come and sail together. Sailors are encourage to hang around and socialize when we return from sailing and/or order takeout dinner or bring something to grill.
There will be a maximum of 4 people (including the skipper) per Flying Scot. Skippers of other boats will specify their maximum number of crew they can accept.
As a courtesy to other members – please cancel as early as possible to not inconvenience fellow members.
