Rowing Monmouth Boat Club was founded in 1879 for rowing and the enjoyment of the Navesink River. The story goes that founder Dr. Field wished to enter a rowing regatta on the Schuykill River, Philadelphia, but discovered he was ineligible except as a member of a rowing club. The solution for Dr. Field was to form MBC. The current Rowing Fleet has set a tradition with mostly early morning excursions to the Oceanic Bridge, and beyond, from early Spring to late fall. A Solstice race is one of the season highlights. If you are interested in rowing with us, contact JLevinsonLaw@aol.com. |
