Due to a shortage of volunteers, it is not feasible to safely prepare and serve food in a manner consistent with COVID-19 safety guidelines. Therefore, the July 4th BBQ planned for this Saturday at 6pm will be modified to be a B.Y.O.E. (Bring Your Own Everything) event. This means that attendees should bring whatever food and drinks they would like to consume.
We will still have a band playing live music and have placed an order for good weather.
Please keep in mind that the clubhouse kitchen and the grills will not be available, so do not plan to bring food that needs to be cooked.
We suggest that members consider bringing folding/ beach chairs or a beach blanket if they would like to setup their own area in the yard to have an evening picnic while enjoying the live music. The seating on the two outer decks will also be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, though please be considerate of how much space you take in these two areas as it is limited.
As before, we still ask that people practice social distancing where possible and wear masks when getting close to other people not in the same household or quarantine group. When entering the clubhouse to use the bathrooms, members must wear masks. Both the men’s and women’s bathrooms are available for use.
While we originally asked that members register for the event on the club website, we realize that some people may change their mind on attending now that food and drinks are not provided. As such, please disregard the need to register for this event.
