Yesterday’s Memorial Day Regatta was held on a beautiful but trying day. The sun was out and the breeze was up down and sideways.
In the Lightning Fleet, Dave Watts had it figured out and won all 3 races, with George Harrington coming in second in each race. The Flying Scot Fleet was a bit more distributed, with Bernard Friel, Marc Gordon, and Thom Lee each winning a race. Thom barely squeezed out the win over Marc Gordon in a tie breaker. Gene Spillane won 2 of 3 races against Taylor Niles to win in the Albacore Fleet.
Art Petrosemolo got some great pics again and you can see them at http://nauticalphotography.smugmug.com/Monmouth-Boat-Club/Memorial-Day-Regatta/.
